In 2007 we called in to see Hilary and Graham thinking that they would just sell us a campervan. How wrong could we have been. They helped us understand our needs for a campervan, sourced a van for us, built the conversion and then stayed alongside of us over 13 happy years, sorting out any and every problem or question arising. Now we have our second campervan conversion from them and once again they have been our fairy godparents. They found a van for us, when that seemed to be an impossibility and adapted every quirk we requested into the conversion. Nothing is too much trouble, well actually they behave as though nothing was trouble at all. How blessed we have been to have their friendly expertise just a phone call away wherever and whenever we go away - it goes far beyond a business or a service. They are a really special couple.

After kicking the idea around for a while, and trying to nail down my requirements, I found my perfect van! But it was over 350miles away! However, my initial reticence was overcome and my enthusiasm rekindled by Hillary & Graham at Middlesex Motor Caravans – albeit in Leighton Buzzard… From my first visit (advising where to stay overnight) to their wealth of knowledge & experience of the campervan environment they were welcoming and appreciative of the financial outlay I was considering. Not at all pushy - which is something I had experienced a lot in this environment. Lots of cups of tea and advice, whilst listening to my concerns and additional requirements. A deposit was taken and a future collection date agreed due to my work commitments. Allowing Graham to fit my additions and service the vehicle. Fast forward a few weeks and a taxi/train/tube/train journey later, Hillary kindly collected me from the station. The van was complete and perfect! Hillary and Graham ran through everything again for me (it had been a while) and a few more cups of tea later, I was on my way… Knowing I had an overnight stop scheduled on my journey, I was also gifted some essential accessories which I was very grateful for. An unexpected and nice touch! I can not fault the friendly customer service and communications I received from Hillary, and Graham’s knowledge and experience (coupled with a ‘can do’ attitude) knows no bounds. Subsequently I can not recommend Middlesex Motor Caravans enough, regardless of whether you are a novice or experienced campervan…er.

Just wanted to let you know how pleased we are with our new camper van, we have just come back from a week away and found the conversion to be well laid out, workable and cosy.

After 3,500 miles we are home!!! What a fantastic trip. The van worked like a dream, we love it and can't wait to do it all again. We drove through France and found some great places to stay. The French camp sites are the tops. Spain was a lot hotter so we found some good places on the coast. Yesterday we went to Gibraltar on our way back from Cadiz and now home. Thank you once again for a superb job. Everything is in the right place, we have thought hard but would not change a thing, it's spot on.

We have just bought our first T5 camper van from Hilary and Graham and are absolutely delighted with it! We first met Graham at a camping and caravanning show in September 2016 in Lincoln and had a long chat with him about camper vans and the seeds were sown! We were advised by lots of people, including them, to hire a van which we did this year in April and had a brilliant week touring round the South of England and discovering new parts of the country as well as getting used to life in a camper van. Hilary and Graham gave us so much help with getting started in the camper van that we left feeling very reassured and that they were on the end of a phone, if we needed them, but we didnt! So a couple of months later, we found ourselves back chatting to them again and this time decided to buy one that they had for sale. We've only had one trip so far but are planning several more for the summer and have had to do guided tours to family and friends who are so keen to see the camper van. Hilary and Graham have been absolutely brilliant throughout the process and would thoroughly recommend anyone thinking about going down the route of campervanning to contact them as they could not do enough for us and have made the whole process really easy for us.

We were downsizing from a 6m coach build to a SWB VW van that needed to be our second vehicle as well. Graham and Hilary talked us through the options and it was evident they had a wealth of experience and answered all our queries however small with a balanced view giving pros and cons to all our ideas and often coming up with a much better solution based on their Matrix design! We now have a van with a layout that works perfectly for us. The supply chain for roofs let them down (as it did to a number of other convertors at the time) but they reorganised their schedules and we still got the van for our holiday to Cornwall, so a big thanks for pulling out the stops! On taking delivery we had a few days before the start of our holiday and a big pile of 'stuff' we used to carry around in the coach build and it was amazing what we could fit into the well thought out array cupboards and storage places. A couple of issues surfaced on the trip and on our return they were sorted professionally and efficiently . Having now had the van for nearly a year and just completed our longest trip (up to Scotland and through the Outer Hebrides) this has just reinforced that we made the right decision! We are extremely pleased with our camper conversion carried out by Hilary and Graham (Middlesex Motorcaravans). They sourced a superb base vehicle for us in exactly the style (barn doors) and colour (Acapulco Blue) that we wanted, in immaculate condition and with only 86 miles on the clock! We had several meetings with both Hilary and Graham where they ensured that the internal conversion was matched as closely as was practically possible to what we wanted. We felt assured that if it could be done it would be. And it was! We never felt rushed and Hilary and Graham both gave us a lot of their time and expertise in planning the layout and providing the available choices of seat material, cupboard colour and edging, flooring, fridge, sink, cooker and oven etc. Throughout the conversion Hilary kept in contact re our requirements and sent us progress photos. It was amazing to see how the vehicle went from a basic panel van into a habitable space. Graham fitted a lot into the space and we were astounded at how all the facilities fitted in alongside generous storage. The finished result exceeded our expectations. The work by Graham and Hilary was exacting and precise. We can’t wait to use and enjoy our camper on days out, overnighters, weekends away and in conjunction with a caravan we hope to purchase.

We have praised MML before - they have converted two vans for us over the rears. Now they have replaced the original roof of our current camper with a rigid hightop - colour matched, opening side-windows, pull-out bed, skylight, new lighting - it looks brilliant, inside and out.
